Taking Naps in the Daytime: Is It a Healthy Habit?

Short naps, not exceeding 30 minutes won’t make you too sleepy and will help you improve concentration without breaking your regimen.

It does not compensate for insufficient and intermittent night’s sleep, but it can at least boost your mood and energy for better focus and performance.

Famous personalities such as John F. Kennedy, Albert Einstein, Napoleon, Winston Churchill and Thomas Edison were known to take a nap after lunch.

A few tips:

  1. Choose a specific time after a nap.
  2. Set the alarm not to oversleep.
  3. Turn off the phone, use a sleep mask, and cool down the room.
  4. When you wake up, wash your face with cool water and some exercises.
