Fighting and yelling
Fighting causes anxiety and depression, and that can harm your baby. It can greatly affect the health of the future baby, especially their immune system and brain. Besides, yelling can be bad for the mother and lead to headaches, nausea, and sleep problems.
Too much of sugar
A study showed that mothers who consumed high amounts of sugar during pregnancy had children with learning and memory skill issues. The same thing goes for sugar substitutes.
Mood swings during pregnancy are common. These changes can be caused by the woman’s metabolism, or by her hormones. In order to avoid such changes, we offer you to get enough sleep, go for a walk and breathe fresh air, go to the movies with friends, etc.
Hot tub or sauna
Extreme heat in a sauna or a bath is the main concern during pregnancy. It may be relaxing, but it’s not good for your baby.
Crying during pregnancy is normal because you may become more sentimental. But it can be tricky and you should pay attention to different symptoms like loss of appetite, feelings of guilt, sleeping too much, and loss of interest in any activity. If such symptoms last more than 2 weeks, speak to your doctor.
Extra caffeine intake
In general, there are no studies that say it is forbidden to drink caffeine. But during pregnancy, it should be limited. You should remember that caffeine also crosses the placenta and enters the baby’s bloodstream. Therefore, 1 to 2 cups of coffee a day is OK.
